[NEWS] The Korean Pop Group, JYJ to open “XVII SALÓN DEL MANGA”

T/N: JYJ performance in ”XVII SALÓN DEL MANGA” being featured in the main page of Fic Comic

The popular South Korean group JYJ (initials of its three members, Junsu, Yuchun and Jaejung) has decided to present his latest album “In Heaven” and to kick off their European Tour in ”XVII SALÓN DEL MANGA”. The band has chosen Barcelona to present their unique performance in Spain, beginning his tour of the continent.

On the morning of October 29, JYJ will meet with the press of ‘La Farga”. Then, on the stage of “Poliesportiu del Centre”, fans will enjoy this popular group with the interpretation of some songs that will serve as an appetizer for their concert that night in the Poble Espanyol de Barcelona.

JYJ begin their conquest of European Market in Barcelona after taken by storm the Asian charts responding their growing demand from fans. Spain is an European country with the largest number of cassiopeas, name given to followers/fans of JYJ.

The three members of JYJ began his career as part of the band TVXQ. After leaving their former group which they became the youngest Korean artists in sold over half a million records, they signed to the label Warner Music Asia to release “The Beginning”. The album, released in English, garnered a great success and opened the doors to the American market. The band achieved a considerable international recognition thanks to his collaboration with Kanye West on the main theme of the album, Ayyy Girl. His new album, In Heaven, which was put up for sale last September 23 and has several out of print.

JYJ’s visit to our country has been made possible by the Open Music producer, in collaboration with Asian Club, an association that brings together fans of Asian music in Spain.

Lansarea JYJ World Wide Concert in Seoul a fost amanata pana pe 17 februarie(data ptr Coreea), din aceasta cauza a fost inlocuit cu Super Junior Super Show 2 DVD, iar manualul de Limba coreeana nu a mai fost pe stoc.
Deasemenea IU a fost inlocuit cu Secret Garden OST part I.
Livrarea premiilor va fi facuta intre 23-25 februarie, cu mentiunea ca plata curierului se va face la livrare.

My personal favourite performance was GD,T.O.P and Taeyang's-Hallelujah (probably bc i'm a huge fan of Iris)^__^

Long story short: junsu wrote the new song mission and Jj wrote 9 nine.
They danced,screamed,jumped,striped,felt sorry for the fans again bc of the cold outside,kept thousands of fan in suspanse telling them they have something important to announce at the end of the concert...and it didn't happen...LOL
You know..the regular JYJ amazingness(is that even a word?:) )

A Woman Arrested for Frauding Emails from Tohoshinki to Swindle 200,000 Yen

On the 26th, an unemployed 38-year-old woman named Sakaguchi Yukino was arrested by Kyoto’s Kawabata Police after she made a 41-year-old fan to believe that the fan had been continuously exchanging emails with the Korean idol group Tohoshinki and afterward, swindled money from the fan.

According to the police, the suspect Sakaguchi pretended to be the president of the fanclub. However, she denied the charge saying, “I didn’t take any money.”

The suspect is said to receive 200,000 yen (~$2000) after sending out an email in April to someone she met during Tohoshinki’s Shanghai tour last October saying, “Tohoshinki’s members got angry because of your emails. I’ve already calmed down the fanclub, but you will have to pay a fine.”

According to the police, the suspect Sakaguchi says, “I only translate and forward the emails that are addressed to Tohoshinki.” She is believed to have sent over 100 fraud emails to the victim [pretending to be Tohoshinki members] with content such as “We’re very glad that you say you want to meet us.”

When we featured the debut album by JYJ, "The Beginning," as a Billboard Release of the Week this fall, the response was amazingly huge and positive. So we gladly invited the Korean pop trio to our studio recently to perform two songs and chat about working with Kanye West and Rodney Jerkins and bringing their music to America. Consider it a kind of holiday gift to JYJ and K-pop fans everywhere, from Billboard.com to you.

Less than 18 hours until the JYJ concert in Seoul!!! Who's excited???

JYJ (Jaejoong, Yoochun, Junsu) will be holding their first world wide concert ‘JYJ Worldwide Concert in Seoul’ in Seoul Jamsil Olympic Stadium which would be transformed to a dome with the roof covered.

On the 20th the organizer stated, “JYJ first worldwide concert in Seoul would be covered with a roof to solve the problem about the weather and sound quality which always happen with outdoor performance stages yet at the same time, giving the best stage to the fans in Jamsil Olympic Stadium.”

The stadium would be covered like a dome to maximize the lightning effect as well as the sound quality compared to a open outdoor performance which have these as their weak points.

Despite the cold weather on the day of the event (it’s winter when the concert is going to hold), fans will be able to enjoy the show warmly in the dome.

The dome is being constructed with a new, safer kind of textile fabric (as opposed to traditional steel cables). Jamsil Olympic Stadium is the first domed theater of this magnitude in Korea, even on a global scale few other performance halls have adopted such a unique, lightweight construction method.

C-JeS Entertainment, reports that “No doubt this concert will be the best show ever, featuring the best quality of stage presentation, production, and sound.” The agency goes on to say that it will do its best to “provide audience members with the most unforgettable concert experience of their lives."

The JYJ Worldwide Concert in Seoul will be directed by Jeri Slaughter, a well-known concert producer who has worked with international stars Mariah Carey, Jennifer Lopez and Christina Aguilera.

Tickets for the concert has been selling fast. At the first-round of pre-sale ticket buying on Interpark website on October 19th, seats were sold out in just 20 minutes. The popularity of the K-pop sensation was proved once again when another batch of 20,000 tickets was also sold out in a second pre-sale ticket buying.

The JYJ Worldwide Concert in Seoul is a two-day event that will be held on November 27th and 28th with a total seating of 100,000 (50,000 for each show).

Park Yoochun and Yoo Ah In who proceeded to their own schedule after starring in “SungkyunKwan Scandal” which had ended its broadcast, continued to express concern over each other through Twitter, which attracted many attention.

Last Monday, Park Yoochun left a message for Yoo Ah In on Twitter, saying “You didn’t bring your handphone? [TV Daily] Large numbers of Japanese fans have been coming down to Seoul, Korea, these days in order to watch the concert of the Korean group JYJ, and this has given a large boost to this month’s foreign tourists’ numbers.

The travel magazine “travel TIME” reported, “There were as many as 20,143 Japanese visitors to Korea. JYJ’s Seoul concert was a large factor.” Also, according to the Japan National Tourism Organisation, “Out of 4113 people, at least 2,500 people were ‘Hallyu Tourists’ who were going to Korea to watch the concert”; showing JYJ’s immense popularity.

Now, JYJ are in preparation for their concert,’JYJ Worldwide Concert in Seoul’, which will be held on 27 and 28 November, in the Seoul Jamsil Olympic Main Stadium.

Other than JYJ, the fans are also practicing the dance steps. Not long ago, a video of the dance steps for “Be My Girl” was revealed through the JYJ members’ Twitter accounts, so that the fans could also participate. New SM and AVEX ties Reveal a Possible Reason Why JYJ was Blocked in Japan

The reason for AVEX's behavior a few months ago towards JYJ (Jaejoong, Yoochun, Junsu) may have been revealed in a new official statement from the company. AVEX's (Japan) renewed ties to SM (Korea) seem to be antithetical to supporting to JYJ. It does appear to some observers that AVEX made the calculated business decision to block JYJ's rise in Japan in exchange for getting to represent other SM artists.

The ultimatum from SM to AVEX may have been to either get the trio to give in, or to drop them completely. The obvious penalty for continuing to support JYJ would have been that AVEX could lose out on the opportunity to represent other SM artists in Japan.

According to the translated statement released in Japan, AVEX "will be executing exclusive contracts of Super Junior and f(x)", along with continuing to be the agency of choice for BoA and J-Min. Also included in that list of AVEX-managed artists is "Tohoshinki". But this won't be the Tohoshinki you're used to. This new "Tohoshinki" will only include Yunho and Changmin, apparently. All of these groups, in case you still haven't gotten it, are artists controlled... uh, owned... no, uh, signed to SM in Korea.

All sorts of questions have been raised in the wake of this announcement by SM and AVEX. Was AVEX pressured to persuade the trio to go back to SM? Was AVEX pressured by SM to sever ties with the trio or risk being cut out of this lucrative deal with other SM artists like f(x) and Super Junior? Did CJeS have anything at all to do with AVEX's decision, or were they using it as cover for when they would cave in to SM?

After JYJ totally rejected SM's draconian demands, pointing the finger at CJeS (currently with JYJ) looks like an excuse. They appear to have used the CJeS connection in order to block JYJ from performing in Japan. Once that was done, AVEX was granted access to SM's other artists. It was a business decision which caused the previously stellar (ok, kinda stellar) reputation of AVEX to be put into doubt. And what a turn around.

AVEX built up massive support from hundreds of thousands (if not millions) of fans in Asia and other countries because they allowed JYJ to exist, unhindered, in Japan. For a while, they were seen as honest brokers who only wanted to maintain a connection between JYJ and their fans (while also being the beneficiaries of massive amounts of money they would rake in because of it).

But something happened. Something changed. JYJ was being entirely too successful in Japan and their popularity skyrocketed. They were releasing, and in some cases writing, songs which debuted at #1 on the Oricon Weekly chart. This was almost unheard of. No Korean group has as many #1 songs on the Japanese Oricon chart as Tohoshinki.

Their success increased the number of Japanese who became aware of their musical ability. JYJ filled Tokyo DOME by themselves, although it was a painful experience considering the last time they accomplished this was when they were a 5 member group. Their hard work also further pushed open the doors to other Korean artists.

To bottom-line it, they were entirely too successful without the backing of SM. They were rising even higher and faster than many people would have predicted despite the SM dispute. This was, obviously, an enormous embarrassment to SM. Maybe this was the time when SM put the hammer to AVEX.

Either way, the relationship between JYJ and AVEX crumbled because the higher-ups made the decision to choose SM... and the many groups they now have access to seemingly because they cut JYJ off at the knees.

But the resiliency and determination of these three young men seems infinite because it didn't stop there. JYJ released their first English showcase album, and worked with world-known producers Rodney Jerkins and Kanye West. Did I mention that two members aren't yet fluent in English but managed to pull it together in the face of enormous stress!

Tens of thousands of people in the US ultimately saw them perform, as they battled stress, sickness and exhaustion. Thousands of people came to their concerts while thousands more, who couldn't get into the venues, waited outside to show support. For all 3 showcases in the US, people began lining up hours, sometimes a whole day, before the actual concert. They turned a visa problem into a golden opportunity to present their music to people who otherwise wouldn't have been able to afford to come see them perform. That was priceless.

In addition, the members hit Twitter like a bolt of lightning and now hundreds of thousands of people follow every post they make. For example, one photo of Junsu with his cat can send tens of thousands of folk into a full swoon! Seriously.

Every time a door is slammed in their face, they don't have to sneak in through a window. They punch a giant whole through the wall and find a way to keep going. This wasn't supposed to happen. Or at least I don't think SM expected or wanted it to happen.

I think by now some of the execs. at SM thought the trio would be on the verge of collapse. They were supposed to be begging to come back. They were supposed to have learned their lesson by now... or be starving by now... or be hated by the fans by now.

The trio have tasted a freedom they've never had before and are testing their own talent. Nothing is always perfect and mistakes are how you learn.

Hopefully SM will learn from the mistakes they've made in relation to JYJ. For its part, AVEX probably will get much more blame from fans now. Because of this new statement, they appear to have blocked/dropped JYJ so they could get access to other SM artists. Possibly a "great business decision" for them, but certainly a bridge-burning action to many fans.

So I showed it to them during the interview to tell them that I went to watch their performance at the Tokyo Dome. And I also remember that at the end, Jaejoong teared. I saw that too. So when I told them that, he was like, "Wow, why is this announcer like that? he follows us to this extent?" That's right.

This time they came to Taiwan and I'm sure that they left a deep impression on a lot of our Taiwanese friends. Of course, I think that the person who got the biggest reward is myself, since through this job, I've gotten many opportunities to interact with them. So just before they left Taiwan, they took my ticket stub and looked here and there... I remember it was Jaejoong... so he looked around and found a ballpoint pen. It belonged to the staff, and he started drawing on the back of my ticket stub. After that, he solemnly passed it on to... the second person was Junsu. And Junsu too started to... And the third person was?

It's Yoochun. Yoochun looked at it for a long time and then signed it. After that they gave it to me (as a gift), because they signed their names on the back of my ticket stub, so I'm really grateful. When we took pictures after that I even felt like they treated me as a friend. Why? Because during the photo-taking, it was a little embarrassing to stand among the three of them and I didn't know what pose to do. So I just did a "JYJ Jjang!" pose.

All of a sudden, Jaejoong grabbed my thumb and Jaejoong's thumb (on top)... Junsu grabbed it, so there's one more right, so Yoochun grabbed it! So we took a photo like that in the end. Prior to this, I shared it with everyone on Weibo (t/n: Chinese version of Twitter).

JJ: During the showcase in Korea, I also said this during the press conference, but at that time, we haven't stood on stage for a really really long time, so at that moment I just felt really blessed. Also, a lot of things happened last year, so because of all the things that I couldn't say, the happiness I felt at standing on stage and the sadness I felt; all those things came out together with the tears that fell.

MC: Then, because they collaborated with a lot of internationally acclaimed producers for this album, we heard that there was a lot of changes made in this album. At the beginning when you had to sing songs like this, what's the difference in singing these songs compared to the style you're familiar with in the past?

JS: If we're talking about differences then firstly, we're not singing in Korean and we have to perform in English, so we weren't really used to it. And we thought a lot about it. This is also a factor; we also recorded it in America so it's also something unfamiliar to us. It also includes working with overseas staff, but everything and everyone and all the staff were really kind to us and they're all really nice people. This was also why we could release our album in East Asia and we could also work hard promoting it.

MC: Then, for them, they're constantly working so they must be under a lot of stress. So I know that Junsu has 4 cats, this must be to release stress, right?

JS: That's one of the reasons and also because the house is just a little bit big...

JJ: Huh!

JJ: A littttleee, littttleee, little bit. It felt a little empty, so I kept a few kittens to accompany me and to get rid of the loneliness. When you're sleeping they'll disturb you from the side... at that time I'll feel especially happy. And they're really cute too, yeah... hehehehe.

MC: Then, how about Yoochun?

YC: I have dogs.

MC: He has dogs, I see. You're away from home for long periods of time, so do you miss your pets?

JS: They will continue living well on their own.

JJ: Right now we're concentrating on the international promotions for this album, so the most pressing thing is the worldwide showcases. Also, it has been decided that we'll have our second concert, so we'll be preparing for the JYJ concert.

The Korean actors and actresses such as Kim Rae Won, Jo Hyun Jae, Lee Da Hae, Lee Jun Ki, Lee Min Ho, Gong Yoo, Ha Jung Woo, Kim Sun Ah and idol singers Super Junior,So Nyeo Shi Dae, Brown Eyed Girls, TVXQ! along with 130 Korean artists will give their private stuff for charity auction in Thailand for ‘KOREA FESTIVAL 2010′ in 30 Nov- 5 Dec at Esplanade Cineplex Ngamwongwan-Khearai to commemorate the 60th year of Thai soldiers who joined the Korean War 6.25.

The auction money will be given to those 3,00,000 people who suffered from the flood. The project is a collaborate between Thai-Korean embassy and KTCC (Korea Thailand Communication Center) with the support form Ministry of Tourism and Sports of Thailand to organize this event to promote the Korean fever in Thailand

JYJ concert will give special discount to every university exam takers.

On the upcoming November 27th and 28th for two days ‘JYJ Worldwide Concert in Seoul’ will take place at Seoul Jamsil Olympic Stadium, while to heighten the expectations among fans, every candidates of university exam this year will be rewarded a shocking 40% discount of the ticket price.

For the total two days concert in Olympic Stadium, JYJ’s Seoul concert covers a stunning 100,000 seats scale. The first and second round of ticket sales had received an explosive reaction as both were sold out in less than 20 minutes, meanwhile currently the third round sales is still in selling process.

The discount is given to the exam candidate him/herself including one companion, and it applies only to seats at A, B, C categories. On the 22nd, Warner Music officially released the statement,
"JYJ has officially entered into the US music industry
with Warner through their first debut album 'The Beginning'".

Under the label of Warner Music Group, the artists
include the likes of Green Day, Linkin Park,
My Chemical Romance, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Josh Groban.
Warner Bros. Records Inc. is the most influential
record company in mainland USA.

During JYJ's tour in the US, the members met with the
director of the LA branch of Warner, as well as other
staff members. Michael Nance, the Vice-President of
International Marketing expressed, "JYJ's 'The Beginning'
will be the first album under Warner released by Korean artists.
In the future, we plan to actively support JYJ's activities in the US."

'The Beginning' was released on iTunes on the 18th,
and is expected to be officially released in American stores next year.

JYJ’s P1 Visas Denied for US Performance

ENTITLED ENTERTAINMENT recently updated their website confirming what we first reported, and they’ve also shed light that the members will pay for the showcase themselves to honor their commitment to their fans in the US. In other words, they will perform free concerts for the fans.

11 November 2010 – JYJ has decided to go ahead and perform for their fans in the US despite being denied of their P1 visas. Cjes Management, the management company for JYJ has stated that it is of utmost importance that JYJ keeps their promise to their fans and they have been in New York since the 9th to await the decision only to be given the disappointing news.

According to US lawyers advising the team on the situation, JYJ will still be able to take stage on the condition that the performance is free and they receive no monetary benefit for the performance. Due to the fact that substantial costs has already been incurred by the promoters for production, flights, accommodations, there will still be a financial responsibility to be fulfilled which JYJ has decided to undertake this upon themselves to make the events happen.

Says Cjes Entertainment CEO, Mr Baek Chang Ju, “We are still awaiting the official reason to why their P1 visas have been denied since the band has followed every procedure required and also did their interviews accordingly. We are extremely puzzled by this matter and will continue investigations into it. For now, JYJ’s primary objective is to make sure that fans are still able to catch the showcase. Hence we have decided to step in on all costs associated with putting on the show to make sure that the events go on as planned.”

All venues have been informed on setting up FAQs on how fans can receive a refund on the tickets they bought. In addition, fans who have paid for a ticket will also receive a ticket to the free showcase. The rest of the tickets will be allocated on a first come first serve basis from Ticketmaster.

The refund process will start at 12pm on the 11th November 2010.

Trebuie sa recunosc ca am fost [placut]surprinsa sa vad cata lume a veni,.nu ma asteptam sincer.
Sper sa ma surprindeti la fel de placut si la anu ^^~

Am avut de toate...de la karaoke,free hugs campaign, jocuri, dancebattle-uri,hanbok-uri expuse(complimente ambasadei,fara ei acest lucru nu ar fi fost posibil), concursuri (still sad i didn't get my noodles)...pana la probleme tehnice cu sunetul:))
